“My paintings are about my ancestors coming together.  My heart also is to see my people come together as one people.”

Beverley May Hinch (Aunty May)

Aunty May was born in Moree on the 18th of April 1946.  She is one of the nine founding members of the Euraba Artists & Papermakers company and has been an ongoing driving force behind the organisation and the message that genuine employment will strengthen the community and provide opportunities for the younger generation. She has spoken at many artist talks in regional galleries and to schools about her artwork and as a representative of Euraba, sharing the message of hope and self-determination. Her artworks speak strongly of her connection to culture and the aspirations she has for her community.
