Exhibition Before Time Began at Fondation opale, Lens (Switzerland) opens with two special events open to the public:
14:00 – 15:00 : Meet-and-greet with woman artists from the APY Lands
Floor talk by Fondation Opale’s guests from the Australian Central Desert, artists and managers of the APY Lands (400 km south of Alice Springs) who present their context, culture and artistic approach in an informal discussion.
With Anna Wattler, manager, and Tuppy Goodwin, chairwoman of Mimili Maku Arts, Mrs. Norris and Gillian Steel from Kaltjiti Arts, Nyumiti Burton and Sally Scales of Tjala Arts.

15:30 – 16:30 : BIENALSUR talk – a Global South
Talk by BIENALSUR representatives which circuit of sculptures in the public space in Lens / Crans-Montana is also inaugurated on June 9th.
BIENALSUR general director Anibal Jozami, artistic director Diana Wechsler and artist Marie Orensanz present the International Contemporary Art Biennial of South America, a project for the development of art and culture as a contribution to cultural integration and coexistence in diversity.
The exhibition BIENALSUR Lens / Crans-Montana consists of works by internationally renowned artists: Marie Orensanz and Leandro Erlich (Argentina), Pablo Reinoso (France-Argentina), Lluis Lleo (Spain), Valentin Carron (Switzerland), as well as ‘Kulata Tjuta: Kupi Kupi’ the collective work by Australian Indigenous artists integrated in Before Time Began.
