The exhibition catalogue for Babbarra Women’s Centre’s exhibition Jarracharra<\/a> at the Australian Embassy in France, Paris, has been released.<\/p>\n

Curated by Ingrid Johnson and Jessica Phillips, this publication celebrates more than 25 artists supported by the Babbarra Women\u2019s Centre located in Maningrida.<\/p>\n

The catalogue tells the story of the B\u00e1bbarra Women\u2019s Centre, its artists and the 32 designs featuring in the Jarracharra exhibition.<\/p>\n

The context and significance of the artworks are explained by the artists themselves, often in their own Indigenous languages with English translation.<\/p>\n

The publication features an essay by B\u00e1bbarra Women\u2019s Centre Manager Ingrid Johanson, as well as a curatorial preface by both Jessica Phillips and Ingrid.<\/p>\n

It also features a double page map of the Arnhem Land region.  <\/p>\n
