This Desart initiative provides a platform for Artworkers to experiment, develop their photographic skills and express their country and community through their eyes.<\/p>\n<p>The photography entries were open to Aboriginal Artworkers associated with Desart member Art Centres. Entries received were outstanding and reflected incredible diversity, innovation, connectedness to culture and experimentation in digital media. The exhibition received acclaim from arts industry professionals and the local community alike. Everyone filled the gallery space with excitement and anticipation as the prize was announced by the judges- \u00a0Brenda Croft and Stephen Gilchrist, who held the exhibition in high regard. The exhibition was curated by Artworkers who participated in the curatorial development week \u2013 a series of curatorial workshops run by independent curator Carly Lane.
