Born in 1946, Therese Ryder (Ngale – Perrule) belongs to the eastern Arrente language group and is from Ltyentye Apurte (Santa Teresa), 82 kms south east of Alice Springs. She paints central desert landscapes especially the country east of Alice Springs which is her country. Therese’s mother was born at Maryvale Station and her fathers’ country is Loves Creek, Trephina Gorge and Coroboree Rock.

Therese is part of the art centre Iltja Ntjarra Many Hands Art Centre.
