Running from the 18th of April until the 14th of June: the organisation Ngununggula dedicates its annual exhibition “OLD DAYS, NEW DAYS | ARLTA-IMANKINYA, ARLTA-ERRAMA” to the work of Australian female artists. This initiative was first introduced in 2022 with Kungka Kunpu, a touring exhibition from the Art Gallery of South Australia showcasing collection works by female artists from the APY lands. The Artist Circle was then formed, a collective of female donors committed to enhancing the visibility and recognition of female Australian artists.

In 2026, they will focus on the vital role women play within the family unit, exploring the various ways they gather, nurture, and share stories. The exhibition aims to acknowledge the daily contributions women make to support their communities, and the observations they make in the process. The project will be guided by the artists and supported by the team at Ngununggula.
This platform will nurture the strong relationships between Tangentyere Artists, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists and Thea Perkins. The exhibition will feature existing and newly commissioned works to celebrate these relationships and foster new collaborations.
This exhibition is proudly supported through artwork loans by the Art Gallery of New South Wales, The Slattery Collection, Aboriginal & Pacific Art Gallery and Maitland Regional Art Gallery.
