Mylène Charon is a researcher in Indigenous Australian Contemporary Art.

After six years of professional experience with global art auction leader Christie’s, Mylène has been undertaking a PhD in Comparative Literature since 2017.

Her research fields include:
* Aboriginal Australian contemporary literatures and art (visual arts, performing arts, film)
* Intersectionality
* Gender studies
* Post-colonial studies

Member of the research group Identity and Community, within the Research Program « AGORA », Center for Research in Civilizations, History, Literature and Heritage at Université Cergy-Pontoise.

Founder of a blog dedicated to the promotion of contemporary Aboriginal Australian women writers: The OZ Reader Project

Teacher of French as a foreign language.

Mylène has also been doing volunteer work with a number of Aboriginal art centres in the Australian Central Desert, Arnhem Land and Sydney.
