Thelma Bartman

Thelma was born in Goondiwindi on the 15th of April in 1964. She enjoys making paper and creating her artworks in any media. Thelma says “I come from a family of two and I have four kids of my own”. Thelma’s mother, Stella O’ Halloran, was a founding member of the Euraba Artists & Papermakers company and Thelma has followed in her mother’s footsteps, being handed over the position of chief rag cutter when Stella retired. Similarities in their drawing styles and subject matter are notable, with a distinctive sketchy mark making in both of their work.
